Schwerinský zámek a historická krása Sternbergu nás moc potěšila. Celý projekt byl financován Portugese National Agency pod záštitou programu Erasmu+. Participované země byly Německo, Severní Makedonie, Nizozemsko, Turecko, Maďarsko, Bulharsko, Portugalsko a v neposlední řadě Česká republika.

The project focused on critical thinking and creativity. During the course, we had various opportunities for education on the topics of the zero waste ideology, thanks to which it was by no means boring. We did not receive face-to-face teaching, we searched for most of the information on individual projects ourselves. As part of the program, for example, we were supposed to invent our own system for recycling various materials or shoot a short video promoting zero waste. Furthermore, we became professionals for a while and lectured, for example, on climate change in Sweden, the five R’s principle adopted by Austria, or the methods of waste treatment in our countries. The debate about the correctness of plastic packaging has become a heated battle between two teams.

Every day there were cultural evenings of each country. They gave a unique opportunity to look into the cultures of our friends – national dances were danced, specialties were tasted, flag colors were described, songs were sung and much more.

Despite the difficulties with German transport, we got to all the necessary places, including Sternberg and Kukuk, the place of our stay. We were very pleased with Schwerin Castle and the historical beauty of Sternberg. The entire project was financed by the Portuguese National Agency under the auspices of the Erasmus+ program. Participating countries were Germany, North Macedonia, the Netherlands, Turkey, Hungary, Bulgaria, Portugal and, last but not least, the Czech Republic.
